====== Teleport routing and you ====== Not so much a frequently asked question, but one of those things that can be quite complicated to explain, no thanks in part to "bugs" in second life! When you teleport into a parcel, where you land is controlled by several things that take precedence as follows: * If you are using "Go Home" to land at your home point, you will land wherever you saved it, regardless of the following. * Estate controls can be used to force landing at a certain location. These do not affect your rental as they are not set. * If teleport routing is set to "Anywhere", then you will land at the teleport co-ordinates you requested * If teleport routing is set to "landing point" then you will be redirected to the landing point co-ordinates UNLESS you have the group permission to bypass the landing point - everyone in the group has that, at which point you will land at the co-ordinates you requested HOWEVER due to an old 'glitch' with Second Life, if you are not already in the simulator - i.e. you are teleporting into the simulator from off-sim - then it wont know about your group, wont know about your permission, and WILL redirect you. In short - teleport routing works most of the time for everyone, set home bypasses teleport routing always, and you can bypass teleport routing with landmarks only if you use the landmarks while already on the sim. Otherwise teleport routing will override a landmark or co-ordinates selected on the teleport map etc.
